Public Service Announcement

Ahem...tap-tap...is this thing on??

So far we have been to 2 different Fall/Halloween carnivals and I am deeply perplexed by what I am afraid is becoming a trend in this world........where did all the chocolate go?

Somewhere in the confectionary world...there is a battle raging between the gooey gummie candies and the long standing, ever-faithful chocolates.

Why dear friends must we succumb to the pressures of  society and pass this pseudo-candy on to our children and loved ones? Why do we eat things that look like worms or eyeballs or lobed off digits??

I do not want pretzels or lollipops. I do not need gum or sweet tarts.

I just want chocolate.

I NEED chocolate.

I think after birthing 4 humans, I am entitled to a little chocolate.

I think that as an air breathing member of the planet, YOU are entitled to a little bit of chocolate.

I am considering throwing my support to the candidate that has a "Chocolate Policy."

I admit to rummaging around in my boys candy buckets and removing the good stuff, placing it in a ziploc bag and stashing it in the fridge for later consumption. I admit to hiding it waaaaay in the back , on the top shelf behind the baking soda, so they will not try to eat my stash.  I am okay with that. Really, I am.

So please dear friends...as the holidays are fast approaching, please consider adding a little chocolate to your candy give aways. Because behind that precious princess or rugged cowboy at  your door, is a mommy who will need to steal that chocolate  for later!!

Thank you for your time...and chocolate! :O)
