The writing on the wall....

I think the boys are organized. Not like they are neat and all the toys are put away..but organized like "in cahoots" against me. A few examples:

Scrappy keeps referring to an unseen force called "the bad guys". These people are obviously hanging out here at our house and really messing things up. The bad guys have written some kind of secret code on the walls with a marker and pencil, pulled all my bedding off and left in it a pile on the floor and spilled beans all over the school-room. The list continues to grow. I am not completely sure who these "bad guys" are but I am keeping my eyes peeled for them.

The older 3 are spying on me. I turn around and they are hiding under something or they run away squealing. I didn't know that boys were actually capable of squealing but it seem to be so. They are using the walkie-talkies while trying to spy. They have not yet perfected the spies need to be quiet thing...but I have hopes for them.

Skipper announced to me the other day that he was "in control" of the little kids. I am hoping that he meant "in charge of"... but a mom can never be too sure! I am finding schematic drawings of the house laying around the school-room. This is a bit worrisome to me. I see arrows and little stick figures and I just can not make out which one is me!!

They are spending a lot of time in their room with the door shut. There is a secret code you have to know to get in. Again, I am thinking that the CIA will not be in touch with them anytime soon because the secret code is actually posted on the OUTSIDE of the door. And EVERYTHING is a gun! I am actually amazed at that ability.

Scar decided today that Skeeter needs to know how to get out of his crib. So apparently Scar took it upon himself to teach "escaping the enemy undetected". Now Skeeter is quite proficient at getting out of the crib and his bedroom. Yeah! Needless to say I was thrilled with that show of brotherly love! I think the actual demonstration then practice was what helped Skeeter perfect this trick. So now Skeeter will be quickly moving into the lower bunk with Scrappy.

See what I mean...They are organized. The end may very well be near! HA HA HA

2008 Deductible

Well...2008 started off with a bang here at the H House!! At around 10:45ish, Skeeter managed to pull a chair up to the counter in the kitchen and he found a knife. He cut his hand. Yells a little and then walks into the living room and I see blood!! I try not to freak..asking loudly for towels. We apply pressure and the bleeding stops. We then decide he needs to go to the ER.

So I spend 3 1/2 hours sitting in the waiting room of the ER. No hurry..what else do I have to do-right? So FINALLY we get called back and they glue him back together--IN 10 MINUTES!! WHAT??!! I waited 3 1/2 hours for that?? GEESH..I could have gone to walmart and bought superglue and stuck him back together myself in that time. (OK..there is no way I would really have done that...but it seemed like a rational thought at the time.)

Being me, I am trying really hard to come up with a blessing from the whole event and then it hits me..it's 2008..we start over on our insurance deductibles today!! Well..never let it be said that us Heasley's don't do our part to keep dr offices, the ER and insurance companies in business!
Happy 2008 to us!
