Tell me you think I am funny-please!

SURPRISE!!!

It's me!

Did you think I had vanished?
Been abducted by aliens?
Fallen off the face of the Earth?

Did you miss me?
What, no?!
You didn't even know I was gone?!?

Well...I haven't been, any of those things. Just busy doing life.

I have been teaching the boys Sanskrit. Yes, I know it's a dead language, but you just never know, and I believe in being prepared!

I have been teaching the boys differential calculus.

We have finished the house and gotten all moved in.

We have been grinding our own wheat into flour.

I have been updating my denim jumper wardrobe. Glad those things never go out of style!

I have been teaching myself how to underwater basket weave. And it's not as easy as you might think.

We have been working on the old house trying to get it ready to rent out.

I have taken one kid to the ENT to get a sponge removed from his nasal cavity.

Laundry...enough said there.

Working on my Nobel Peace Prize idea.

We are memorizing the entire works of Shakespeare.

Looking for Scrappy's shoes-every blessed day!!!!

Now there is a possibility that some of the list about is a total fabrication. But I'll continue to let you believe that I have my act together.

Picture day

Back around the New Year, we had Scout's family in town to have family pictures made. A total of 13 people and 6 of them being boys under the age of 11.

It was crazy, but Kent at Woodland Photography did an amazing job.

Amazing.

very important stuff here, very important, dare I say life changing

Look! A picture of the cupcakes that I did not get.

Lest you think my day was a total bust...

I may or may not have worn my super sexy black yoga pants backwards.....all day.

I stayed up till 2 am watching back episodes of Glee.

I did have a vanilla coke today.

One of my boys licked a 9 volt battery and after he shocked the peewaddle out of his tongue, he tried to find another brother as "courageous" as he.
He failed at that task.

I was super excited to get the Victoria Secret AND the Venus swimwear catalogs today.

I may have slightly exaggerated with that last sentence. But only slightly.

These are just some of what I found on my phone today:

I have about 50 more.....nice huh?

I'm not even sure what some of them are.

Goofy kids. Must come from their dad's side.

A BIG shout out to my cousin for bringing this important information to my attention...

in case you are not a fan of Valentine's Day, you can celebrate this...

From the huffingtonpost:

Lawrencium (Lr) was discovered at UC Berkeley on February 14th, 1961. It was assigned the atomic number 103 and is notable for being the last of the actinoids.

I have no idea what that means, but it seems pretty badass, at least for scientists.

So, let me be the first to wish you Happy Lawrencium Day!
Party on Wayne!

absolute nothingness...

1. I want a cupcake. And seeing whereas my significant other is in Colorado and I am here with the peeplets and I know they didn't get me anything for Valentine's Day...I'm not getting cupcakes.

2. Situps on a exercise ball will cause my abs to scream in pain approximately 20 hours later. That may actually be due to the fact that my abs really prefer not to be used if at all possible.  Hindsight...

3. 17 kabillion snow days are too much, even for a homeschool mom. Proof that we are not those homeschoolers you heard about once from you mom's neighbor's sister, that like to stay home away from the world. (Rumor is that our PS-ers will be going until June 13. That's just wrong, I don't care who you are or how you educate your kids.)

4. Scout just text me and the ping sound scared the bajeezers out of me and I might have said a bad word.

5. No, that was my brother that text me. He is buttering me up, so there must be a HUGE favor involved!!

6. I need to go to the spa. I know that sometimes we get our needs and wants confused, but not this time. I am certain that I NEED to go.

7. I don't like diet soda. Just for the record, you can not make a diet soda taste any better by adding sugar. You are just gonna have to take my word for it. *BLECH*

8. Someone needs to invent a mobile haircutting service. That would be so handy and helpful. So someone needs to get on that for me.

9. Snow days remind me of when my brother and I would scrape up what ever money we could find and make some poor guy from King Pizza deliver us a medium pepperoni pizza and a bottle of Dr. Pepper.

10. And barefoot races in the snow.

11. My bestie lives in Ireland now. Can you believe that? I let her date and marry this wonderful guy who was a missionary. Whatever. I didn't really like her anyway. She's the kind of person who quilted each of my boys a beautiful quilt when they were born. I mean, who needs friends like that? (just kidding you know I love you Denise and your hubby too!!)

12. Someone needs to pack my house for me. Cause apparently I'm not doing it.

13. Last night I was told that Scout isn't getting home till Tuesday night.

14. I may be insane by the time he gets back.

Love your crazy cupcakeless friend,
Me

Where I am not...

Scout is on a ski trip with his bestie!
Do guys have besties?
Whatever he is on a ski trip...and I am not.

Today I have done laundry, gone to Walmart with 4 small people, watched 2 basketball games going on at the same time on neighboring courts, trying to watch 3 of the boys play and keep the 4th one occupied by buying 3 bags of popcorn!!

Here is the latest picture he sent me.

He is spending 4 nights in Vail. Eating food he didn't cook, having a housekeeper clean his room, and playing.

I am hoping that I will get 4 nights here....alone.
Eating food I didn't cook, having a housekeeper clean my room and sitting in the warm sunshine while listening to my iPod or even reading a book.

But seriously now...who am I kidding???

Whatever.
I'm cold and the warmest place is my bed.
So I am headed there.

Along the Road - Ashton, Dente, Becker

I love this song! Been a favorite of mine for a long long time!
I hope you enjoy!

Boys...

Boys...are weird...

PROOF....
Wow! Look, it's my kid with foam crammed up his nose.
He may have then said watch this and then blown the pieces out of his nose..but that would just be weird, so I will pretend that never happened.

What is he doing???
I'm sure that whatever that is...it comes from his dad's side of the family!

Let's try this one....
This is what happens when you child tries to clean out your tailpipe.....

Ok let's show my serious child.
This is about as wild and crazy as this one gets,
which is fine, cause we have 3 others to take up any slack!

...yes that's a wife beater he's wearing....

See, they can look sweet...

...but this is more realistic.
