Route 66 is in my sights

It's still officially summer vacation around here. We are starting back to school August first. We will be taking a 2 week break in September for a family trip...which will be a learning experience for them as well. We will be heading out to Arizona and  New Mexico. We are really excited. This will be our first trip out West. My plan is to take as much of Route 66 as we can and stop at all those goofy Rt. 66 stops and take lots of pictures!!

I am a little nervous. Scout has decided that we will go on a 100 mile off-road trail/camping expedition thing. I am planning on getting an appointment with my doctor for some anxiety meds soon.
Clearly we have slightly different ideas about what is fun.

Confession time...I think I am ready to say this out loud.

I am.......an unschooler.

We are...Christian unschoolers!

Whew! Glad that's out there. I have been a closet unschooler for a long time now and I'm done with it.

You don't have to like it.

Just like you don't have to like my tattoo.

I'm completely okay with that.
