Living with Less---15% less

Well, evidently today was the day for the layoffs at Scout's office.

They let 2  go locally and shut down a few of the other offices nationwide.

Everyone left gets a 15% paycut.

15%---that is a large chunk of money for us.

So now we have the hard part of looking at what we can cut.

What goes and what stays.

It is going to be tough...but it will be doable-somehow.

Somethings are a little more obvious than others.

We will pray that the Lord will show us what needs to go.

I can think of a few right off the top of my head.

But there will be sacrifice on everyones part.

The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised. Job 1:21b

Dallas, I accidently posted as Jason...didn't realize he was logged in to his gmail account. Anyways, I am sorry to hear about the 15%, but thankful he still has a job. We are praying for you guys and the tough time that you are going through.

It is a scary time, isn't it? Especially in a single income home. I am laid off for next year, and nervous about it. I feel even worse for a coworker who was laid off as well. Her paycheck does not even cover their housepayment (which they are 100,000 upside down on) and her husband is next on the list for lay-offs. Yikes.
It makes you wonder how much further our economy can fall.
P.S.
Love, love the name of your blog! and the post below? sounds like my child. I can't understand how anybody would react oddly to that. Ever heard of a child?
